Jean was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida in 1995, after a family vacation to Disneyland where her parents fell in love with Florida. 

She has always had a love for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to be in the vet field. Jena's very first animal job was working at the Flagler Humane society in the dog kennels. From there she got my first veterinary hospital job at Matanzas River Animal Hospital, in 2002, as a kennel technician. Very quickly she moved up the ranks to veterinary technician and has not looked back since. Jena has worked at several different clinics since then, in Putnam and St. John's counties. She has had the privilege of doing what she loves for the past 23 years and couldn't imagine doing anything else.

In her spare time, jena loves baking for family and co-workers and has even done wedding cakes for a doctor she worked with. She also loves to read romance, fantasy, and supernatural novels. The best things though is snuggling on the couch with her fur babies all 11 of them!
