Willem-Jan Van Deijck

Dr. Willem-Jan van Deijck graduated in 1999 from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands after which he worked for almost 6 years in a very busy 24/7 emergency clinic in Rotterdam. This enabled him to evolve and gain a lot of experience in both emergency work, including surgery, as well as regular veterinary care.

In 2003-2004 he was on Dutch National Television for four full seasons. During numerous months a camera team filmed Dr. Willem-Jan van Deijck during his regular working hours (day and night) to get an impression of what it entails to be a veterinarian in an emergency animal hospital.

At the end of 2005, he came over with his wife and two children and started a new life in beautiful Florida. He worked for almost 4 years as a full-time veterinarian in a clinic in Palm Coast until he decided to follow his biggest dream; to open up his own clinic.

With his experience, gained over the last 15 years, he provides the best care possible for the other members of the family. Having a boxer and an English bulldog (both rescue animals) at home, Dr. Willem-Jan van Deijck knows how strong the bond can be between a pet and his/her owner.

Being an all-around veterinarian, his areas of special interest are surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, and exotics and he is currently working on getting certified for acupuncture.

In his free time, he spends most of his time with his wife Barbara, and their two kids, Tobias and Alisa. Besides being a family man, he loves martial arts, soccer, and golf.

He is past president of the VFVMA and is currently a member of the following (professional) organizations: AAHA, AAFP, VFVMA, AVMA, FVMA, and the Ormond Beach Chambers of Commerce.
